The Schneider and the Feuerstein GmbH, including MOLOTOW™ have signed a long-term cooperation agreement
What can be expected when an innovative ballpoint pen manufacturer and a dynamic firm with their own unique urban brand partner together? An opportunity for innovation!
The Schneider Schreibgeräte GmbH (founded 1938) and the Feuerstein GmbH (founded 1959), including their unique urban brand MOLOTOW™ have signed a long-term cooperation agreement on April 24, 2016. Using each company’s specialty knowledge, new technology developments and product lines will be researched. In addition, Schneider will take over international distribution of the fine-art brand MOLOTOW™ in eleven different countries (including Germany).
The decision for cooperation was extremely easy. There are clear similarities between the brand philosophies; Both are family-run companies that originated in the Black Forest of Germany, and they have an eye on the environment and sustainable industry. All while standing for high quality writing and painting utensils “Made in Germany”.
Since 1998, Schneider has followed a professional environmental policy under the world’s strictest environmental management system - EMAS. The EMAS certification for Schneider has been annually renewed eighteen times and the environmental statements show continuous improvement in environmental performance. In practice, this stringent environmental management system stands for ecologically sound products, processes and procedures and urges permanent improvements within a company, tested by independent experts.
MOLOTOW™ also shines with its sustainable products and concepts. Almost all markers are refillable and each tip is individually replaceable. This creates less plastic waste. In addition to this, the company creates 75% of its energy from its solar panels.
Apart from sustainable concepts, both companies hold high standard for innovations of the highest quality. Since its foundation in 1938, Schneider takes pride in creating, “High-quality writing instruments for everyone”. This is shown with the legendary K 15 “The-Beetle” and pioneering ballpoint pen refills in Germany. Schneider also developed the innovative Viscoglide® technology as well as a new One series, “A new generation of rollerball pens”.
Similar to Schneider, the company Feuerstein, revolutionised the world of aerosol with the first optimized spray, CoversAll™. Now sustainable art tools are available for the entire industry.
The partnership is promising for many reasons. Firstly because of the proximity concerning the product ranges as well as the geographical situation. Secondly, art supplies and pens are in a similar industry allowing the manufacturers to provide everyday tools in conjunction with art supplies. However, there is another crucial aspect: “We think alike in terms of sustainability and fairness, ‘Made in Germany’ and high quality products.” (Jürgen Feuerstein, CEO of Feuerstein GmbH and Chrisitan Schneider, CEO of Schneider writing instruments GmbH).
So what can we expect from this partnership? Everything!
