Viktors story
Whether with pen and paper, a carving knife or a tattoo machine, Viktor from Argentina generates his own creative world full of unique characters.
Viktor's story
Since he was a child, drawing and music were an integral part of Viktor's life. And he was sure that this
would never change. He initially studied architecture
at the University of Buenos Aires. But after two years,
he realised that although he really liked the subjects
related to design and creativity, his enthusiasm for the
other compulsory subjects such as physics, mathematics and statics was not so high. So he decided to
change course and began studying Design. But how
did he find his own style? Viktor reflects briefly: “It's
not that I've finally found my style. I just work every day
and different influences come together. I simply try to
always remain open.” For him, the key lies in constant
repetition: when he draws a bird, he studies its anatomy, proportions and details. But after drawing 50, 100
or even 300 birds, it's no longer about the correct anatomical representation—the birds develop a life of their
own, their own expression.
“That's when your personal
signature, your stroke, becomes visible,” says Viktor.
That's why daily creative work is so important to him.
Just as a professional athlete trains according to a fixed
plan, drawing also requires a regular routine that includes frequent practice, challenges and playful experimentation. Viktor advises not to wait for that magical
moment of inspiration. It's much better to just sit down
and get started. Ups and downs are inevitable. Sometimes something works right away, while other times it
takes time to get it right. And that's perfectly fine! “It's
not about being perfect. Mistakes are part of who we
are,” Viktor encourages. Are you ready to embark on
your own creative journey?
