A black design, vibrant writing colours and a unique material story: with the new Slider Edge XB Black Edition, Schneider Schreibgeraete is expanding its range with an edition that combines recycling and writing comfort.
The Black Edition’s barrel is made from 83 per cent recycled plastic sourced from disused red carpets. This transforms end-of-life products into a new cycle of use. Visually, the Black Edition features a sleek, all-black barrel. This allows the different writing colours to stand out in striking contrast.
The technical specifications are identical to those of the well-established Slider Edge XB. Thanks to Viscoglide® technology, the ballpoint pen offers a particularly smooth and effortless writing experience. The extra-wide tip (XB) produces an expressive handwriting style, whilst the ergonomic triangular shape ensures comfortable writing. The ink also dries quickly and remains smudge-free even when highlighted with a highlighter.
The new Slider Edge XB Black Edition brings colour to the page and demonstrates yet another way of integrating recycled materials into high-quality writing instruments. Made in Germany, with Schneider’s usual high-quality standards and a distinctive black finish: “With the Black Edition, we combine tried-and-tested writing comfort with the use of recycled material. The result is a writing instrument with a striking appearance and a unique material story,” says Managing Director Christian Schneider.
The edition will be available as an 8-piece case (7+1 promotion) in the colours black, blue, ocean, baby blue, violet, lilac, pink and red, as well as a 4-piece cardboard case (3+1 promotion) in black and blue since September 2026.
