Write & Mark / Highlight
Every pen creates a line – through you! Graphic elements in handwritten form make communication more human and lively.
Quote Bar-Module
With genuine quotes from people or authentic statements, we take a stand as a brand and thus underpin Schneider’s corporate philosophy. These striking phrases may be in Schneider deep blue on a white background. You can also position quotes on images. Quote bars in Schneider deep blue ensure good readability.
As a rule, the text is centred. If required by the layout, they may also be left- or right-aligned.
Inverted comma
The inverted comma is a fixed part of the quotation and introduces it. It is always placed large above and coloured in Schneider cyan.

The bars are optional When a quote is placed on an image, they improve readability. If, on the other hand, the quotation is placed on a white background, then they may be omitted.

In the “Write & Mark/Highlight” product area, the Frutiger Next Bold or Frutiger Next Regular is used.

Scribble elements
The handwritten character of the scribble elements brings dynamism and liveliness to the design. Whether underlining, curling or emphasising with dots: Different shapes such as oval, line or arrow are used to emphasise what is important.
Each scribble element thus fulfils a concrete function – arbitrary placement as a purely decorative element is not intended. The line width is chosen to match the size of the typography, the colour is always Schneider-Cyan. You can use our templates for scribble elements or design your own individual scribble elements.

Please follow the guidelines for the design. Only then can your statement be really convincing! Below you can see the mistakes to avoid.
Application examples
You want to see how quotes can be used concretely? There are almost no limits to your fantasy: Strong statements together with individual scribble elements look great in print media as well as digital channels.

Unconventional, courageous and unadapted: This character is also clearly reflected in the graphic elements of the Makers Line.
The key elements of Makers Line
There are three design elements that you are not allowed to change – but with which you can freely design. This applies to the statement “Make it different”, the explanatory addition “Tools for DIY” and the hashtag #makersline. You can download these elements below in the download section.
Quote Bar-Module
What distinguishes the design of quotes from the “Write & Mark/Highlight” product area? The text is set in the Makers Line font, the quotation bar is more spontaneous and less symmetrical
It can be a quote from a person or a striking statement without a specific sender. But always important: The key message must correspond to Schneider’s corporate philosophy.
Here, too, you may work with scribble elements in Schneider cyan.

The inverted comma is an integral part of the quote in the Makers Line. It is always placed large above and coloured in Schneider cyan.

Like drawn with a marker: Statements are always backed by quote bars. If a quotation is to be placed on a white background, the bars must be coloured in Schneider deep blue.

In this product area, only the handwritten font of the Makers Line is used for quotations. You can download the font in the typography section.

Brushes
The Makers Line brushes are often used as backgrounds, transitions or for brand banderoles. They may be used in white or in Schneider deep blue. This design element may be used very freely. The only restriction: It has to fit the look of the Makers Line. Below you will find examples of how you can use brushes. You can download a set of brushes in the download section.
