This year, Schneider was elected as “brand of the century” in the category “ballpoint pens” by the renowned publishing house “Deutsche Standards”.

Various brand experts and publisher Dr. Florian Langenscheidt (“Deutsche Standards”-Verlag) awarded Schneider with a classy company portrait in the encyclopedia “Stars 2016”. The renowned compendium “brands of the century” includes only brands which define a certain type of product or service. Thus, Schneider joins the rank of one of the strongest German brands like Haribo, Ritter Sport, Tempo, adidas, BMW and other well-known labels.

In the movie in which Dr. Florian Langenscheidt (known from the internationally popular Langenscheidt dictionaries) talks about Schneider he lauds the company for its values and development, but also highlights the emotional meaning of handwriting. In the published encyclopedia “brands of the century – Stars 2016” it says: “Above all the digitalization, the magic of handwriting as expression of personality and soul, will always exist. Schneider has been producing pens for decades with the quality standard «Made in Germany» using its unique refills, you won't find anywhere else, and which enable you to write down every thought, and to sign with special water and light resistant inks for documents."
Schneider connects traditional values, Made in Germany with the requirements of a modern brand.

There are approximately 250 brands which have been awarded “brands of the century” and which have been presented as the “Stars on the horizon of brands” in this classy encyclopedia.

A competent committee of brand experts from the media, economy and the creative industry selected the German brands in a very extensive process. Only companies with exceedingly high standards were nominated. Schneider is pleased about this special award, because it also underlines the actual communication concept “brands need brand-name ballpoint pens” in the segment of promotional pens.
