For decades, highlighters have been an indispensable tool to mark important text passages. Schneider has paid particular attention to this everyday object.

The shape of a highlighter is usually bulky and square. The new Schneider Job was designed to be different. “Simple, sensual, beautiful, desirable" are some characteristics of Apple design; which Schneider has taken as a basis for the re-launch of its successful highlighter. Schneider’s new highlighter, Job will be introduced in January 2013 featuring a brand new look.

It features a modern, minimalist and elegant design; which includes characteristics of the common highlighter. In addition to these aesthetic changes, the functionality has been improved making it more user-friendly and functional.

A round-shaped elevation’ on the clip surface serves as a pressure point for pushing off the cap with your thumb. Circular cavities on both sides of the body are intuitively recognised as a grip recesses. With its flatter shape and rounded edges it is now more suitable to carry around in a jacket pocket or bag. A practical item has turned into a stylish yet practical accessory.

For six decades the iF design award is given to products with outstanding design. Schneider’s new highlighter, has convinced and impressed the iF jury. Experts and renowned designers from around the world have selected Schneider Job from over 3,000 entries and awarded it with the iF Product Design Award 2013. The criteria of the jury included design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental friendliness, functionality, ergonomics, visualisation of use, safety, brand value and branding as well as aspects of universal design.

The smart highlighter also shines with a brilliant performance. With its large reservoir of ink highlighter, Job highlights more than 15,000 words. The universal ink has maximum brightness with good resistance to light. The barrel made of polypropylene guarantees to keep the Job fresh for two years, and is environmentally neutral. The chisel tip allows two line widths, 5 mm and 1 mm. It is available in six fluorescent colors: yellow, green, orange, pink, red and blue. Of course, the Job is refillable with the simple and easy refill station Maxx 660.
